Awards : The movie has been awarded the Best Film at the 41st International Film Festival of India held at Goa from 22 Nov to 02 Dec 2010. The movie has won 58th National Award for the "Best Film on National Integration". "Moner Manush" Wins The Best Film Award Indian films have bagged the top honours at the 41st International Film Festival of India that concluded in Goa on Thursday. Noted Bengali filmmaker Goutam Ghose's Moner Manush won the Golden Peacock (R40 lakh) for the best film. The special jury award was shared by Kaushik Ganguly's Just Another Love Story and Kiwi director Taika Waititi's Boy. The last time, India bagged the top honours in 2000 for Jairam's Malyalam film Karunam. Ghose's Moner Manush is the story of Sufi Lalan Fakir, which casts Bengali actor Prosenjit Chatterjee as the 19th century poet while Ganguly's film stars acclaimed director Rituparno Ghosh in the role of a woman trapped in a man's body. Ghose's film, which is an Indo-Bangla collaboration, was hailed as "a new beginning for the two countries" by the director, while Chatterjee said it "opens new doors for Bengali cinema". Danish director Susanne Bier won the Silver Peacock (R15 lakh) for the best director for her film In A Better World at the concluding ceremony. Silver Peacock awards for the best actor and actress (R 10 lakh each) went to Guven Kirac for the Turkish film The Crossing and Magdalena Boczarska for the Polish movie Little Rose. The festival's top spot has been largely dominated by Iranian films over the last decade.

"Morning Walk " the film is about the person's(Joymohan) life changes it all. An old mansion harbors a blood thirsty monster that kills and devours humans entering the place. The killing spree of the monster is put to an end by a priest, who manages to lock it in the mansion's dungeon. The evil monster now lies in wait to be set free. One day, the gangster's son named Ajay finds out that Vijay is alive and he swears to avenge his father's lost arm. At a party, Ajay found Swetha and asks if she wants to sleep with him. Swetha was disrespected and embarrassed, then later, Ajay follows her and Divya, and cornering the girls with his men. After his father sent him a picture of the person he needs to abduct, Ajay found out that Divya is the key and forced to take her badly. Divya was able to escape from the goons then he finds a man who comes to rescue her, who is apparently Vijay, and he fights them successfully. Divya was injured by the goons but rescued by Vijay. And Vijay revealed to Swetha that he was looking for Divya, his long lost separated sister who hated him for ignoring her before. He was forced to ignore her sister, for his dream for her to have a better life than to live in the streets with him, and he hide his identity from her until he found her in the present day that was painful. But when gangsters chase Swetha and Vijay, Vijay was forced to fight and kill some of Ajay's goons which made Swetha scared on Vijay on the way he fights bloodily.
Then Vijay's story is told in flashbacks on how he was separated and looked for his sister and because of his past job to track down a local gangster don named Shivaram Gaud (Manoj K. Jayan) who wanted to control the colony and brought misery to the colony. After the recent fight, Ajay vows to kill Vijay for his father. Vijay fights and punished Ajay and his goons without any mercy.And afterwards, Vijay brought back Ajay and his goons back to the colony (who fears the goons because of scaring the place) and Vijay made the colony beat Ajay and his goons down.
The enraged Shivaram stormed over the colony to take control badly by taking the place's papers in his name, but unknown by him, Vijay had got the place's papers and scared him to get out of the colony (which Vijay had brought back their honor to fight for their rights) or the colony will beat him like his son. But still bad, Shivaram vowed to take revenge again for both of himself and his son, to Vijay. But Vijay, intelligently crashed his convoy and injected him a poison and called him that he will die if he will not do whatever Vijay tells him because he holds the antidote. Shivaram, determined to live, did everything what Vijay said including asking fogiveness to people he maltreated, and settling his police issues. Bharat (Rajiv Kanakala) is an orphan and brought up in a orphanage. Sreenu (Uttej) is his close friend. Bharat studies hard and becomes a software professional. Being an orphan, he loves children very much. Once some extremists plan to attack the police and gain entry into his car and forcibly take him with them to the outskirts of the city. The CBI officer Khan (Jackie Shroff), who is very shrewd, notices a car in a video footage and finds that it belongs to Bharat. He questions Bharat, but could not find any conclusive evidence. On investigation, the CBI sleuths notice that Sameera's parents were Muslims. Then they arrest Sameera's father, who reveals the entire story. Sameera is a Muslim girl and her fiancee, who masterminds blasts in Mumbai gets killed just before their engagement. So, she had decided to avenge the killing. As per a plan, she cornered Bharat and married him. On learning this, Khan and Bharat go to the function, but could not stop her from going to the dais due to some security reasons.
