VIP is a hilarious movie of two petty thieves and their comical adventures. Guru (Prabhu Deva) is an unemployed youth who fails to get a job even after repeated attempts. Depressed and frustrated, he joins Indu (Rambha) who is a petty thief. Together, they steal Annachi's (Rami Reddy) car. When Annachi comes to know about this, he threatens them. Scared, they escape from his men and enter the airport. Meanwhile, Santosh (Abbas) comes from abroad. In a confusion, Guru and Santosh switch roles. Santosh joins Indu and Santosh's reception party picks up Guru by mistake.Santosh roams around with Indu and Guru fulfills Santosh's purpose of visit. The situation worsens when Santosh's fiancee Priya (Simran) falls in love with Guru. How the confusion is resolved forms the rest of the storyline.
