Anjali Thapar (Amrita Rao) has repeated dreams of a parallel life in India and she decides to go on a quest tp India to dicover her past life. Anjali's father will only let her go, unless she marries the man of his choice, so Anjali decides to run away. Her dad alerts her uncle, a ruthless CBI Officer Sikander Baksh (Danny Denzongpa), who is soon on her case. Over to India, she is welcomed by her uncle but manages to evade him and comes across Karan (Arya Babbar) who is a car thief. They bump into each other a number of times and she tells him about her quest. Karan doesn't believe in rebirth but decides to help her. Soon Karan too gains knowledge of his previous birth and learns that he and Anjali were lovers in previous life. Then begins their journey into a past life, as Nandini, the lover of freedom fighter Abhay, and his subsequent death at the hands of British-aided traitor Tejeshwar Singhal (Ashutosh Rana). What they don't realize is that Tejeshwar is still alive and is a powerful minister in the Indian Government. The lovers must escape the cruel clutches of Tejeshwar who will do anything in his power to separate the two lovers and make history repeat itself. Will the two tormented souls, torn apart by destiny, unite against all odds?
